Hmmm, Ted has a home (sorry, a "compound") on the Cape. And a yacht there.
Wonder why he's suddenly against an environmentally-friendly source of power?
Could it be the old "not in my backyard" syndrome?
Nah. Not with Ted. Right?

His NIMBY attitude on this is pretty unforgivable.
What a douche.
Cue Bobby...

Yikes, why do you assume I don't support wind energy? Or worse, why would you assume I would support a liberal asshole like Ted Kennedy? Do me a favor, if you don't know me, don't speak for me. Capish? I'm not against wind, nuclear or solar energy. I'm only against raising gas taxes and forcing everyone to be a goddamm tree hugger. Wind, solar and nuclear energy makes sense from a BUSINESS point of view. And that's all that matters, making enough money so you can tell everyone to go to hell.

I was actually waiting for you to chime in about big Teddy, assuming you wouldn't support him.
And on his stance on this issue, you and I are in total agreement.
You're an angry man.

Oh, ok. Just wanted to make sure.

I can't fathom why anyone wouldn't support wind power. Cheap, renewable, not owned by people who want to blow us up.

If the windmills could also produce booze, I'm sure Teddy would be all for it.

interesting take on the Cape Wind project...
I just didn't know that Ted would be the only one effected by 130 turbines and a 10 story transformer substation...
I think all of you miss the point - Wind is a good idea, but Nantucket Sound is the wrong place for this project.
Consider:
3 million people travel across Nantucket Sound every year via ferry - ie Public Safety hazard.
Cape Wind would displace the local commercial fishing fleet - these are fishermen who own their own boats and have bills to pay.
Horseshoe Shoal, the location of the project would need to be dredged to get the jack-up barges in place to drive the monopole 80 feet into the seafloor.
This project could be done in deep water where it would not pose a hazard to public safety or local fishermen. Projects in Germany are already permitted in 100+ feet of water.
No one knows who is going to pay for removing these things after the lifespan of the project.
Cape Wind is a false choice.
YIKES...there are alot of reasons not to support this project!
