NBC hopes to give TV watchers Amne$ia
Well, somebody’s ripping off another one of my ideas for a reality/game show. First it was Temptation Island. They changed it just enough so I couldn’t sue, lopping off an "S" and cutting out the Motown group entirely. Now, Mark Burnett’s sold NBC a program called Amne$ia. The dollar-sign-as-“S” is, like, so me, OK? Ditto the basic concept of a game show based on memory. In Burnett’s version, contestants win by correctly recalling details from their pasts. In MY version, the most befuddled contestants would prevail. I’m really pissed off, and I won’t forget this slight any time soon. Hey, did I mention that somebody’s ripping off another one of my ideas for a reality/game show? First it was Temptation Island ... (Photo by the Surveillance Camera Players.)
