‘N.Y. Press’ escort ads need a new home

Escort The New York Press, an alternative weekly recently purchased by the more upscale Manhattan Media, said it will no longer accept “explicit advertising” (mainly those back-of-the-book enticements from escort services). Meanwhile, the NFL is refusing to back down on its insistence that game photographers wear ads on vests this season. These two unrelated developments got me thinking. Those escort ads banished from the Press have to land somewhere. Sure, it may never happen. Still, if you order a “fresh, hot delivery” this fall from a number on one of those vests, I wouldn’t necessarily assume you’ll find Domino’s at the door.
