Go wild with Bronx Zoo’s avatar generator

Wild The Bronx Zoo and Deutsch New York have launched a new interactive Web site for kids called Build Your Wild Self, in which children are encouraged to create avatars of themselves, and then “wild themselves” up a little by adding various animal parts. Eventually they end up looking a lot like diminutive Denver Water employees. There’s also an animated TV spot, promoting Halloween at the zoo, in which a boy morphs into a kangeroo. Earlier this year, the Bronx Zoo also tacked some nifty cutout posters on surfaces around town, creating animals on the go.
