True, but this is pretty sweet:

My 4 year old daughter and I saw a whole department of pet costumes while on a Target shopping trip. She said "Let's get one! Oh, wait, Sweet Potato [our cat] wouldn't wear that. Who buys those? That's silly".
If you can't even get a 4-year old to want to buy it...

My husband and I don't have kids yet. But our dogs are our kids until we do. We treat them as if they are our kids. Now, I don't buy costumes for my dogs because I know that they really don't like to wear them. If they did like them, I would consider buying one (maybe not spend $20 on one and they would wear the same one until it fell apart). My dogs are not human, but they are part of my family and I treat them that way.
It's harsh to say that those who dress their dog should not reproduce. To me, it would be better to say that those who shop at Wal-mart should not reproduce (if your local Wal-Mart is anything like mine, you'd probably agree).

Inquiring minds want to know: What does Adfreak's version of a crazy cat lady -- Nancy -- think?

Dick Cheney,
Think about what exactly?
What are you dressing up as, Mr Cheney?
My big ol' lovable dog died. But he would have never let me dress him up. Au naturelle that lovable beast was. ...even if he did tie up grandmothers and put them in the closet.

My wife and I don't have kids yet. But we have a great dog (Maverick). He has more toys than some children and eats the highest quality food and is very loved. We are insanely in love with him and have become exactly what we once despised... people who buy clothes for their pets.
We have a problem and counseling is nowhere on the horizon. But at least maverick is living well while we slip away into foolish pet obsession.
Oh yeah... Maverick will be dressed up as Peter Pan this halloween, I'll be capt hook and my wife is tinkerbell.
How cute!... (BARF!)
