Toyota Tacoma is the ultimate nerdmobile
The appropriation of nerd culture continues with this World of Warcraft spot for Toyota, which is pretty accurate as far as gamer commentary goes (as accurate as decency will allow, anyway). If they’re smart, they’ll turn this into a series of ads, because there are probably multiple situations in which WoW players would find a truck useful. For running over gold farmers, for example. Also, a series would delay the inevitable moment when creatives realize that nerds don’t draw from a deep hobby well—Warcraft, Halo, anime and Asperger’s self-diagnosis being pretty much all we’ve got. So unless there are big plans to have Vash the Stampede sell liability insurance, they’d better ride this pony until it drops.

The reason this is a big deal is because it is a concept based off the wildly (in)famous "Leroy Jenkins" clip on YouTube.

It's a nice use of pop culture that is relevant to the young male target market.
