Pinkie-wagging at drivers: do not attempt
We recently wrote about an anti-speeding campaign in Australia in which women wag their pinkies at aggressive male drivers, implying that they lack a little something down under. The advertiser, Australia’s Road & Traffic Authority (RTA), may need to add a “Do not attempt” disclaimer to the ads, now that they’re provoked some real-world road rage. Three months ago, Simon Jardak saw a woman giving him the old pinkie-wag as he drove in Sydney. If he slowed down at all, it was only to hurl a bottle at her. In court this week, Jardak told a judge, “She started doing that hand gesture, you know, the RTA one. And it offended me ... because of, you know, she implied I had a small penis.” The judge fined Jardak for his “stupid piece of behavior.” On the bright side, he did remember the advertiser. UPDATE: Here’s Jardak’s Web site, which covers the case extensively.

This whole "pinkie wagging business" is rather stupid considering it only discriminates against male drivers. Guess what, women drive pretty reckless too.
