Renault promises not to use the ‘N’ word
Renault in the U.K. is resorting to that old marketing chestnut of pretending to be racist in a headline while explaining in the copy that they mean a different “N” word. Hilarious, I know. On his Voxford blog, John Kelly has a few questions for Renault: “Is it wise to suggest that except for 10 days in November Renault dealers have a hard time not saying that word?” “Will they go back to saying it on Nov. 19th?” “And what is this ad doing in the Guardian, the most self-consciously liberal and annoyingly PC newspaper in the land?” He adds: “I suppose racism is something we each confront in our own ways, but this ad just strikes me as the b-word: bad.”

"but this ad just strikes me as the b-word: bad.”"
---Nooo, 99.9% of dealer advertising is BAD. This one is original, thus GOOD. Original is always GOOD.
