Corey Haim would like to have more money

Haimad We figured Corey Haim had hit rock bottom when he and Cory Feldman launched a reality TV show to cash in on their status as VH1 nostalgia punch lines. But fate, as it often does, threw Haim a shovel and told him to keep digging. The result is this full page ad in Variety, in which the Haimster signals that he’s ready to get back to work and “make amends.” Dotting the “i” in his name with a heart really caps off his New Age smarm. Not sure if he’ll get any work from this, but having never seen anyone grovel to such a degree, we can’t help but be entertained. Via Defamer.

Hey Corey Haim. My brothers and I from Delta Chi watch your show the 2 Corey's. we also like all of your movies. We are wondering when Hollywood will smarten up and start filming you as the Star role again?

You Rock Corey!

Hi Corey, I watch the show and think you are doing great! Good for you for staying away from the drugs and I wish you all the best.............I see you are now looking for a partner in life that you can trust and share the ups and downs of life. Although I would love to meet you someday......I am not some crazy fan, I just would like to wish you good luck in your search.

Take care Corey and stay stong!!

Your friend Lori from Toronto Ont.

I don't know where to begin. I guess I will start by , I am a huge fan. However, while watching the two coreys tonight... I was very upset. I am not bashing by any means... but I feel saddened by someone that has been a self proclaimed Corey Haim friend. I am a recovered addict myself, and the words that came from Susie Feldman, about there being no hope for Corey, made me cry. First let me state that the pedistal she lives on must be pristine. It must be nice to be perfect, and for that matter, people who throw stones (judging) should not live in glass houses.I am heartbroken to think that you have given up on him. I know that there must have been several upon several bad mistakes on his behalf. However, There is ALWAYS HOPE. Dont give up on him. I haven't. My prayers are with him. Remember it is always an up hill climb as a recovering addict. You, Mr. Feldman yourself know this. He will come out on top. Have faith.

Haim, I think you need to be around people who would never say that 'it's hopeless' for you.
Being on that film set must have been incredibly stressful!
I also find it funny that Feldman and Suzie and the manager were so outraged by the article. Feldman jumped all over it as a publicity stunt - What kind of a friend is that?! The irony of course is that the whole show is a publicity stunt for all involved, including Suzie!
For what it's worth, the entire reason I watch the show is because of Corey Haim!
Suzie especially needs to remember this:

"Reaching out to help others may be as fundamental to our nature as communication." -The Dalai Lama

How come some people in LA get so jaded that they lose that basic sense of humanity? If someone is your friend and you're in for the long haul (through his addiction) then you love them unconditionally Feldman. I mean if you dislike his actions so much - don't be his friend!
Haim, you are coming across way more sympathetic than anyone else.
Peace,

I have no idea why I started watching The Two Coreys. Maybe it was because I was expecting to see a train wreck...I know is sounds awful.

The first season seemed scripted and really made everyone look bad. But I hate to admit it was very entertaining and I became a fan.

I really thought the show was over after the fight. Although, afterwards I read an interview with Haim that said they had signed for 3 seasons. So they all knew they'd be back.

This season seems a bit more raw and I like Haim in it better. Not that I didn't like him before, but he was acting a bit immature for his age. I mean, who moves into someone else's house, takes over the place like it's his, invites unannounced guest to stay for extended periods of time and lives like a pig and is later surprised that the owner's are outraged. Come on, really.

In his defense, I now suspect that his behavior had more to do with the script, since his new place, in season two, seems pretty nice and all of a sudden he's not a total pig.

Anyhow, one thing I see this season is that Feldman and Haim do need to spend more time apart. I don't think that the friendship is healthy for either of them at this time, and I think it's especially bad for Haim. I won't act like I know these two men, but it seems like there is a lot of insecurity and competition between the two. It seems like both would be better off finding their own path as adults, and then building a new, healthy grown-up friendship later on.

I was also shocked at how Feldman and Suzie mocked Haim's article behind his back. They seem really two faced.

I think Haim really can get his career back on track if he is willing to do the work to get clean. Unfortunately, that means he may need to separate himself from people from his past for a while, especially Feldman. There's just too much baggage and Feldman seems to have forgotten how it is when one is caught in the grips of addiction.

Of course if Haim separates himself from Feldman, then there is no show, and the network will never allow that to happen.

Oh well, if the show stays on then I'll keep watching. If the show goes away I hope it's so Haim can get his life together for the better....and I hope to seem him on the big screen someday.

I can't image the life of a childhood actor. To be on and off the stage and to try to separate reality from film must be a stuggle as a child. Sure Hollywood has lots of bling bling. You need to remove yourself from Hollywood completely. Every one wants you to fail as thats how they are setting you up, stay far from the Feldman's for awhile. If Cory F. (who I was in love with as a child) really is a friend, then through thick and thin he is there for you, and he knows the lies and the ugliest of drugs so why isn't he more compassionate? He made a comeback and someone helped him--now its time to prove his friendship and step up! Haimie-take a look at your environment, you are "real" in a world of fakes, get into a program, make new friends, and if the pressure isn't too much get back to the career, if not do some commercials and pursue a "happy ever after"-get clean-you may be the "underdog now" but you could turn it around to be the "Top Dog"
Take baby steps one day at a time.
Your biggest 40 year old fan girl.

Ok look at all of this feedback for Corey Haim. I agree with everything listed above. I wish I had connections in Hollywood so I could give Haim a huge role in a movie so he could show just how great he can be.

Corey H we are all praying for you. You deserve another chance at life in Hollywood. Just promise that you will stay away from drugs and Feldman and you shall be fine.

Good Luck and God Bless. I will be watching your movies as they come out.

Guys are supposed to back guys up. It is guy code so to speak. feldman is acting like a chick slamming Haim any chance he gets. I didn't know guys gossiped. Where I come from men are real men. We stick up for our buddies and pick them up by the collar when they fall down. We don't sit there and gossip like a little girl.
Feldman..strap a set on and be a man. Man up and take care of your buddy.

To the moron who said she wished she could give Haim a major role in a movie... It would probably be your last movie. Apparently you haven't been following the story which is that he admittedly screwed over so many people in Hollywood that nobody wants to deal with him anymore. Why would they risk their movie on someone like that when there are so many actors available and willing to work hard? Of course Haim deserves a second chance if he can REALLY clean up and get off the drugs, but until then forget it. That's not being mean, that's just being realistic. If I were on drugs I would be unable to hold a job too.

Did you see the last episode where they had hidden audio that sounded like Haim snorting coke? People are acting like the guy is squeaky clean and he just can't get a fair shake. Clearly that's not the case.

If Haim had any real friends or good advisors they would tell him to do NOTHING until he gets sober. Instead he surrounds himself with retards like the woman who went ahead with his Variety ad that came across in a really bad way.

Posted by: | Jul 14, 2008 2:49:26 PM

Yeah, there are much better actors in Hollywood to get star movie roles that have clean acts...Lindsey Lohan for example. Are you kidding? Corey Haim is no more a drug addict than the rest of Hollywood. Do you watch the news? They all go to jail non stop for DUI's -drugs in their cars etc. where do you live a box?

More power to you Corey Haim.

Posted by: Thomas | Jul 14, 2008 3:52:12 PM

lol yea if you don't pay attn to hollywood you "live in a box." get real, hollywood is fantasyland and a complete joke in the real world.

Posted by: | Jul 14, 2008 5:13:12 PM

I know Corey Haim doesn't have the money to pay people to post nice things about him, so I don't get it. Is it his mom? His personal assistant? Feldman? I mean, when was Corey Haim a talent in this town? He was just some teen star with 2 movies in the 80s. There is nothing memorable about his performances. I do NOT get where all of these comments about what a great actor he was are coming from! I think it must be his assistant writing it.

I am thrilled to see Corey Haim back in the movie scene again. I am 38 years old aND grew
up as a teenager loving Corey Haim who is not much younger than I am. I am pulling for you Corey and I know whatever role you are
offered you have the ability to be
fabulous in don't let anyone tell you otherwise, understand, dog :) I watch the two Corey's only for you. I know who Feldman is and he is NOWHERE NEAR the FABULOUS ACTOR YOU ARE: YOU HAVE SO MUCH POTENTIAL. My other favorite actor was River Phoenix and since his death Halloween of 1993 the male stars of my generation seemed to dwindle. I know you did a few movies back then but then nothing for the longest time. Now that you are back in the acting scene there is hope for our generation. River Phoenix left behind a legacy and I know you will as well because your acting ability is just as
phenomenal as River's was. I loved you when I was young Corey Haim and I still love you as an adult. You have battled some demons who hasn't? At least you have the COURAGE to admit it and try to do the best you can day to day. I will keep you in my prayers, you are not alone: I love the fact you are a fighter not letting anyone get you down, I am VERY PROUD OF YOU!!!!!! By
the way my daughter is 8 years old and we watch you as Les in License to Drive all the time! Keep up the fantastic work and don't settle for anything but the best it's what you deserve! Don't let Corey INTIMIDATE YOU he has nowhere near the talent I see that shines through on you !!!!!

What do you mean Corey Haim was only in 2 movies? I loved him License to drive, lost boys, Lucas and Dream a little Dream. Hmmm there are 4 right there. I can keep going but I have to jog my memory.

At any rate. Corey Haim is alright in my book

dear Truthteller

I am from Virginia BEach Virginia and if I have to I will give you my contact info so you can see I am a REAL person that likes Coery haim and thinks he was and is a great actor. He isn't paying me and I am not his assistant. I am a pharmaceutical rep in Va Beach and I am 32 years old. Corey Haim was huge when I was younger and I still watch his old movies and love them. I will watch anything he is in.

Sincerely,
Sarah
Sad that you have such mean things to say about people.
I am an average person who likes Corey Haim and I know I am not the only one.

Posted by: Sarah | Jul 15, 2008 1:55:31 PM

I am not a huge fan of Corey Haim but I don't dislike the guy. I think he was a good actor and it would definitely peak my interest to see him star in a movie again. Who wouldn't be curious to see him star in a role. Just to see if he has still got it I guess.

There are some negative people in the world and I just feel bad that people can be so cruel about someone they don't even know. Makes me wonder how cruel you are to people you do know. I am just glad you aren't in my circle of friends.

Good luck to you Corey Haim. I would like to see you in future rolls. I think it would be interesting. The actors today have been so overused. Why not spice it up?

Posted by: AJ | Jul 15, 2008 3:33:14 PM

I agree with Sarah AKA Tara
I enjoy Corey Haim very much, and I too am a real person.
I wish I was his assistant, I would have him stop all of the negative self talk and realize that what happened to him in the past was not his fault, and he could not have prevented it from happening. Sometimes life just sucks, and bad things happen.
I know he is famous and in the lime-lite, and people say "He chose this", also I personally have known a few famous people.
My point is this, that him being famous does not give anyone the right to judge or attack him as a person. We only see what we are allowed to see by whoever is doing the editing. That does not give a full picture of who he is. Also, if he was using drugs, we should not be down on him for it, we should help him get back up and start back down the road to recovery. Besides for him being "HIGH" is his natural state as an addict, we should be shocked when he clean because that is where the real battle is.
Kudo's to you Corey...Keep your head up and don't sweat the small stuff.

^ truthteller as previous people have stated i also am not coreys assistant/feldman/or his mother and i have had no personal experience with corey at all, clearly you can see by my posts that i do not live in america or canada...i grew up watching his movies,i am now 30 and still to this day remain a fan of his and his work like many others...If you had done some research on corey you would know that he made more than just two movies while he was a teen. Not everyone has the same views on his acting skills, however while watching his movies try to rid your brain of any knowledge that he is now in his 30's and is a recovering drug addict and maybe your views would be somewhat different on the child actor he was.Why would it be hard for you to see that he still has fans? Now that i dont get!

Posted by: Raelyn (australia) | Jul 16, 2008 8:37:06 AM

Corey Haim did 26 movies. If I counted right (I looked it up).

How many movies have you done Truthteller? Thought so.

Go Corey Haim! We all love ya here in New York.

My husband and I love watching the 2 Coreys! I know that stuff is scripted a bit but from what we see we definitely like Corey Haim better. Corey Feldman seems to be a bit of a backstabber. I think Corey Feldman is a little jealous. Sad to say but it seems that he liked when Haim was on drugs. Less competition.

Corey Feldman just needs to realize adding Haim to his career will better him.

I would love to see a movie with both actors as the starring role! I miss the 80's...who doesn't?

So I guess I agree with above. More Corey Haim!

Dear Corey Haim (assuming he will read this)

Please stay off drugs. I just watched the episode of you on the lost boy's set. It made me so sad to see you ruin your shot.

I am praying for you that everyone forgives you for that and gives you another chance. You are so darn good looking Corey Haim and you have the ability to act.

I don't know that baseball player's name but there is a Major League Baseball player that lost his career to drugs and now has regained his career and is kicking butt. You can overcome drugs and addiction! and you can make a come back.

I pray you will be an incredible actor again and will have a great story of how you overcame addiction.

God Bless you Corey and anyone else who has battled addiction. It is so sad that drugs even exist. They ruin lives and it is so sad to watch.

Love your work

Hey-just wanted to add my two cents.

I think Corey Haim is far more interesting than any male star right now. I mean everyone likes Will Smith but we need a break from the same dudes.

I say put Haim in one of those big roles and watch him shine. Lots of people at my job talk about him. I can bet the movie theaters would be packed with lovers and haters of Haim.

Good for you Haim. Knock em dead!

Posted by: John | Jul 16, 2008 7:01:11 PM

I think that Corey Haim is wonderful and all the things that he has said on the show make you really think. How messed up are people's minds after they get raped! And raped by someone of the same sex! Then put in a position by his very best friend, who knew what happened, to face his attacker at a b-day party! How messed up is that? Feldman INVITED a known child molesting rapest to his b-day party and Haim is just supposed to forget about that? Could you? Honestly! I so wish that I could reach out to him, take him in my arms, and just hold him in silence, letting him know people do care. And understanding that he did drugs to escape some of that pain... well, he's TRYING to get clean. He's trying to show others love and honesty. If people don't understand the way he is going about it, too bad! His add wasn't for desparation of work! IF YOU WATCHED THE SHOW.... a friend of his suggested to him that he take out the add in Variety. He listened to the advice of a friend. Sorry if he didn't word it exactly right for everyone to perceive it the way he meant it!! I understand what he was trying to do and I commend him for going so public and putting himself out there. If other's don't like it, don't get involved. Leave the man alone and let him get right with himself and back to work. No one is perfect.... are you so perfect? If you were, you'd be acting in all Corey's roles. Corey deserves more than a chance, he deserves a life. Let's give him support and just let him know people are behind him. I'm amazed by what he is doing on the 2 Corey's and I'm amazed by what he has said and opened up. Courage beyond anything that is expected of an everyday person. You know what Corey? If you weren't famous, people wouldn't care. And btw, you look great! I love ya Corey.... take care hun.

I don't get it. What is it with today's society and their "holier-than-thou" fucking attitude in judging others...WTF is wrong with these people, is there NO compassion for the unfortunate, for the good who lost their way??? We aren't talking a serial murderer, a pedophile or a rapist here!! Wake up!! Just bc you (nasty posters, not the fans - so don't go haywire on me) have your cushy little lives, and know ZERO about "down on your luck", fuck off and shut the fuck up; speak zero of something that you know nothing about. I am NOT a drug adddict or an alcoholic, BUT I do have COMPASSION for those who are because I've been thrown a few major blows in life in other ways. It's called "luck of the fucking draw". You fuckers make society the sick community that it is, you're full of yourselves and love to kick others in the crotch when they are down...pray it never happens to you. On the other hand, if it did, maybe then you'd be more appreciative and understanding AND compassionate...then you would know.
I'm sure there are things in Haim's life that we know nothing about that triggered his behavior. He isn't pathetic; I think he has potential for brilliant work, given a real chance.
So practice a little more compassion and much less judgemental verbal abuse in any case. If he knows there are people rooting for him, he might just grow to his fullest potential!!
FOR COREY HAIM IF YOU'RE READING THIS:
Corey, ignore the ignorant DUMBASS posts and stay true to yourself as a person. Get the help you need so that we can see you succeed and get healthy all the way!

I also think he should dump Feildman and his wife bc they are the perfect example of how little "friends" mean when their friends need them....what a joke those two in their perfect little american dream life...
Haim, drop them, please! I've seen the show and if I were you, they'd been history long ago...don't beg for their friendship, they're not worth it, but then, I think you already have and if thats the case, hurray!

Posted by: someonewhogivesacrap | Jul 22, 2008 12:37:49 AM

Haim- you are way too good for those chicks I saw you on that last episode. Dude..wait it out. There are much better girls out there trust me. You need to remember you once dated Alyssa Milano. Doesn't matter, for the rest of your life you are cool for dating that girl. So keep that in the back of your head when you meet a girl. She isn't nothing compared to Allysa Milano. Keep searching till you find your next Allysa Milano buddy. If you could land a babe like that once you can land a babe like that again.

Feldman's wife doesn't even shine Alyssa Milano's shoes bro. You have the upper hand. Good luck to you! And you never find love when you are looking for it! Just do your thing and the girls will follow.

Suzie's friends are crap so don't ask her to hook you up with any of them.

Corey dude there is nothing wrong with doing drugs in moderation, just get a little high and go show everyone how good of an actor you can be. Don't get so high you can't speak or remember your lines, think of all the actors who do drugs and make good movies. You just have to be smart enough to control it and not let it control you, you can have both just remember moderation.

Posted by: drugabuser | Jul 23, 2008 4:56:28 PM

There is no such thing as drugs in moderation. It all ends up to be bad.
That may be the worst advice I ever heard in my life. Corey, find your faith, believe in God and get yourself clean and sober so you can show everyone that you can get back on track and be successful without drugs.

Wow-just shocked someone would actually think you can do drugs in moderation. I just pray that person who does drugs in moderation doesn't have kids.

Posted by: Christine | Jul 24, 2008 11:01:18 AM

^drugabuser Good one!!!Are you for real or are you taking the piss? That's the worst advice you could have given. The world is full of people who use dugs and can keep it in check, however when you have someone like corey who has had a large portion of his life consumed by drug abuse then the option of moderation does not apply. He is trying to stay clean and i know he can as long as he stays connected to people that really love him and are supportive of him.Every day he has new battle to fight so to speak if you honestly knew what it was like to be in his shoes or know of someone that is then you would not have made that comment full stop!

Posted by: Raelyn (australia) | Jul 25, 2008 7:51:10 AM

Corey, don't focus on the negative comments, there are alot of people who still love you regardless of your past. Focus on where you plan to go from here. I can't wait to see you in the movies! Hang in there! Keep working the Steps!

Everything he says, how he says it, how he smiles...just makes me want to hug him..(ok maybe more than hug)
He looks great and we would look perfect together...our children will be beautiful, with our gorgeous eyes, and my curly hair.....Now if I can only find him to get a date with him, we can pursue our love!!! He will fall in love with me, I know that for sure. He will be a good dad and a great husband...better than feldman!!! Corey, I will be waiting for you!!!! I saw that episode where you talked to the aspiring child actors. You said some great stuff to them. That was great for you to do. Did you ever think of becoming a speaker for high school kids? You may have found a nitch. Glad to see you truly cared about their well being. if anyone questions your sincerity...they should watch that episode of what you said to those kids.

If i wasn't convinced before that you are a good person who just got into the wrong thing...I am sold now brother.

Good luck to you.

Don't pull yourself down pls. It is not worth ur time and life. I want u to be happy and clean and keep up acting in movies. Recently, I was thinking about u and began to search for ur old movies. I found few of them, but there are a lot of more that I never saw before. I remember seeing ur movies like Dream a Little Dream one and two, Fast Getaway, and License to Drive. I stopped watching some movies when I became hooked with bad addiction drug that really pulled me down to turn into a street person and a lot of bad things too. I am glad that I already sobered up in 1997. Keep sober and coming to meetings pls. I want to see u have a better life and make more movies. Sooner or later, I hope to see extra new movies that u may make. I missed u as an old Corey from late 80's. Few months, u popped in my mind to try to find u, but I found a new movie The Lost Boys the Last Tribe. I haven't see u in that movie cuz maybe I didn't recognize ur face. U may look different. I bought this People magazine with tv stars from then and now. When I saw u and Corey Feldman, my gosh u looked a lot different not like young Corey who was in License to Drive. Stay off the drugs and do better things. I don't want to see u fall back or relapse. U deserve to have a second chance for better future. Hope and pray that u stay on ur feet and keep good work on movies or tv shows. I would like to be ur fan again. I know everybody makes some mistakes in their lifetime. Umm, I love ur cute face when the last time I saw u in the movies in early 90's. I would like to see u again on movies or tv. Good luck with everything good u do.

it's sad that people love when people fail.....everyone needs 2nd chances! give the guy a break!

at least he's out there trying...it's easy for people to sit in front of their computer and judge...but get out there and take chances and go for it...then it's not so easy!

later!

Corey,

I pray that you can get your life together and not focus on all the negativity that surrounds you. Yes, if you're reading this,a lot of it you brought on yourself, but not ALL of it. The important thing is,from watching the episodes,it seems as though you are starting to realize this and get it together. Hey,if the show is scripted,as someone else mentioned, maybe we are the morones and you are playing a role. I mean, how real is reality T.V anyway? Keep up and the good work, time is on your side.

Just recently completed watching season 2. Probably some of the best celebrity reality I've seen. I started watching the show wanting to see Haim succeed and get a chance to get back into the main stream Hollywood scene.

After seeing Haim's general condition, It's not looking too good. A chip on the shoulder primadona tendencies a bit of stuborness, and unknown depth drug related damage thrown in, and we have a cocktail of unpredicatability on the road to self defeat.

I now know why Feldman rather than Haim has garnered some level of success in recent years. I had a hard time understanding how Feldman was able to make any sort of career in Hollywood while Haim languished. I looks clear now. Haim's drug fried brain combined with his anger at the world in general keep him from making the come back.

If Haim could swallow his pride, accept his past, move on and look for some help he could do something with himself. As long as he'd rather feel sorry for himself and continue a tirade of self entitlement Haim will flair in his own misery...

I hope you think about it long and hard. Having a psychologist is a good start. Getting an acting coach to help deal with your condition might make the difference.

In any case, I'm pulling for you to reach your goals.

I just watched today's episode and boy is Haim in for a long run. I knew he was still using, it was too surreal. He's actions, his words and now the tetimonies from Nelle and his mom....this is serious. Considering this is only a few months old...I wonder if he went to rehab? This is soo sad....A gorgeous guy...with a great life ahead of him and its going down hill. I hope and pray for you!!!! I wish you the stregnth to fight these demons, babe!!!

^corey's future wife lol.Your pretty full on!Good luck with that...Have to agree with jeffery it's all to easy to become sitting prey when you are a public figure and have made your fair share of mistakes,as long as it's not detrimental to his health you gotta give him credit for trying to follow his dreams still. From a outsiders point of view it's a fucking hard industry to be involved in,(i know i wouldn't trade my private life for the bright lights and haters) but because corey has, he is always going to be talked about on some degree for better or worse,as long as he has enough faith in himself(which i dont think he has yet but he will)what anyone has to say about him will become irrelevant. He's a smart guy he knows what he has to do!!!
