Happy freaky Valentine's Day from Zune

Here's a timely and trippy new love-themed Microsoft Zune video, a kind of PG-13 "Jack and the Beanstalk," in which little chuckling furry creatures climb a giant veggie-pole to the heavens, where they cry ruby tears, shoot silver stones and red hearts out of their mouths, and rub each other suggestively. If this doesn’t want make you want to buy an MP3 player, then you have a heart of stone. Created by 72andSunny. Via Advertolog. UPDATE: In related news, here’s a perfect Valentine’s Day job opportunity: Submit your wittiest one-liner for a chance to work as a copywriter at a candy company, writing lines for “conversation hearts.”

WTF. I give Zune/MS some credit for going way out there.

WTF. You need an ad agency involved to create this work? Why?

I will be a very lone voice and say, the original iPod work was not very creative. It was interesting looking, but it was still just people dancing. However, that said, this does absolutely nothing to persuade me to consider a zune. It was interesting to watch, but this could have been for anything. Maybe not tampons, but almost anything.
