U.K. child-abuse ads don't skimp on gore

Nspcc1 This ad from U.K. child-protection agency NSPCC is truly unsettling. Of course, so is the issue. The NSPCC also protects children from pedophilia and human trafficking, and those topics wouldn’t lend themslves to images of puppies or rainbows, either. Still, maybe next time they can put their celebrity ambassadors like Kylie Minogue or Catherine Zeta-Jones to work, if only to spare us the heebie-jeebies. See two more ads after the jump. Via Marks Arthole on Flickr. UPDATE: The NSPCC tell us they didn’t do these ads.

Oh dear lord that is scary. The first one you show is the best, the others simply variants.

Yawn.

Too easy. Nothing new to see here. Blood by a baby toy. Next, show us the blood by a dog chewie toy for animal abuse. Blood by a walker for elderly abuse.

No unexpected ideas here.

Really, I understand the cause and back the overall message of the ads. It's just an incredibly crass way of getting a message across. These come off as Ad School spec work (which they may actually be) created by an AD who hasn't yet refined their approach.

Has been done before and better (smarter).

They may have done those adverts or not but what is sure is that they are damn good pestering people on the street (whom by the way, get pai 7.50 an hour)
