Who knew Office could be so damn cute?

Let me say right up front that the "point" of this Microsoft ad is preposterous and misguided. The idea is that the owner of a successful bakery has never realized the potential for business computing until she witnessed the power of Microsoft Office 2007. (Yep, a new spot highlighting last year’s model.) It’s a very 1980s-era sales push that makes Office look as convoluted as ever. There, I’ve bashed it. Now, let me say that I’d watch a 15-minute infomercial for adjustable-rate mortgages if it starred Amy Sedaris and a bunch of bunny rabbits. Just look at Dusty getting into the sprinkles. Awww. I agree. She (and her bunnies) could probably sell me anything.

I saw this a few weeks ago and it's great. And it's a bit of truth in fiction because both Amy and her brother David actually were very technology-phobic for a long time, refusing to enter the computer age.
