I think it is a pretty big stretch to have Keith in a Vuitton ad. I associate glamour and luxury with Vuitton, not snorting your father's ashes. But I do love their new long ads they show during Anderson Cooper. They are intriguing and caught my eye.

Hum sorry but I really don't see how Keith can connect to LV. At lease for Gorbatchev we could imagine that after the socialism era he went to make some money in the West but please Keith Richards ! Who's next ? Fidel Castro?

How can you not imagine keith using Vuitton?! I would like them to do the inside of my car and thats just for a ten minute drive, and then my craft nook and closets and you cant imagine luggage.

And.. What is more glamorous than being a rock star for fifty years and touring the world with your own personally designed luggage by Vuitton?!

Keith has indeed been involved in many campaigns, albeit behind the scenes with music.
Here's the first time: Rice Krispies, 1964.

This was a brilliant idea. Keith by Annie? C'mon you guys, it doesn't get better than that. If you don't get it, I'm afraid it's a case of pearls before swine. Bravo to LVMH for taking risks. Keith has been, and always will be the very best in his class. It's a very cool ad.

Keith is timeless. LV could not have picked a better model.

Hmm... the chord he's playing is a A7. Not something you'd be playing as part of "Blues in C". Is this LV's agency just not checking or did Keith tell them this as a subtle gag.
And I'm not sure whether that ES355 would fit in that LV case. Doesn't look wide enough to me.

and they just released the online journey of Keith Richards:
London by Keith Richards.
it's about 20 minutes of film divided in 8 chapters, in which keith talks about the heath, soho in the 60s, Dartford where he was born (and his house), etc...
check it out at:

Re April's comment March 31. Maybe unusual, but the A7 chord could be a part of a jazzed-up blues in C. It would be part of a turnaround toward the end of the 12-bar blues progression:
C7 / F7 / C7 / C7 / F7 / F7 / C7 / A7 / D7 / G7 / C7 / (G7) /

April smokes a lot of crack, there I said it and now it's out in the open. For a C blues Keiff is playing a C-5addb9/A but who really gives a fuck!!! what kind of pedantic panty waste says he's playing such and such. The fact it YOU WISH you could get heaps of cash for playing whatever chord for an advertisment.

Keiff would be honoured to warmup before a show using this amp
