I believe that Shweppervescence originally dates to the 1970s, if not 1960s. Getting to the bottom of it sounds like a job for Tom Messner.

I agree, very beautiful imagery, but I would have never guessed this was a Schweppes spot.

This is a perfect example of how a technique is used and then "borrowed" again and again in the industry. This spot is just an adaption Malcolm Venville's "Kill The Gun." I guarantee this spot would not have existed if that one hadn't.

Bullshit, Juan. This spot is simply a ripoff of every hi-speed footage montage ever uploaded to youtube, most of which contain hundreds of shots of water balloons bursting.
Yes, it's creative "thievery," but you've got your sources all wrong.
