The best small-business commercial ever?
Good lord, there is nothing appropriate about this ad at all. The guy, who looks like my elementary-school principal, and his camera-shy wife can talk about filming weddings and costume parties all they want, but given the awkward cuts and muffled sound, they might want to try a different kind of movie business. (Though they’d have to watch out for George Putnam.) Unless the whole thing’s a joke, in which case they are geniuses. There’s a bit more info about Fred and Sharon here. Their Web site, sadly, is currently “offline.” |

Those guys beat me to it.
I was cringing as I watched that.
That was too too sad.

You know what?
They just succeeded in making one the best self-promotion viral ads of all time.
Somebody should contact them and tell them to enter it into the shows. I'd seriously vote for it.

I think it's just a "viral" promotion for YouTube.

AWESOME...I don't use all caps often, but if anything ever deserved it, this does. By the way, I called his number and the message is definitely Fred. Mailbox is full though, so business must be good.

There seriously has to be some catch to this video.
Think about it -- they actually know how to upload videos to the Internet and send them online.
Whereas this video looks like it would be made by people only in touch with 1990s video and animation technology.
Keep us posted, AdFreak.

that video was pure money. alas, money you can't buy.
you could put a million jonathan glazers, a million bryan buckleys and, just for good measure, a million frank budgens shooting around the clock for all of eternity. and they'd never equal the effortless and guileless brilliance of these guys.

Agreed, Canadian. Bogus or not, Fred and Sharon's commercial beats anything coming out of the hot creative shops.

that's my hometown. in which case I am guessing it's not a joke.

They have an "All-New" free video on their website now.

Notice that Fred is misspelled Ferd in the opening credits.
