Chupa Chups: lollipops for your suicidal kids

Chupachupsjumper "It's the end of the world without it," says this ad for Chupa Chups lollipops. (Click the image to see the full version.) We’re not quite getting it—are we supposed to buy Chupa Chups to keep our already-depressed toddlers from attempting suicide, or do they become suicidal when we run out of Chupa Chups? Either way, it seems Chupa Chups are clearly a danger to children, especially considering their connection to ravers and Salvador Dali. Via Ads of the World.

didnt they get in HUGE trouble a year or two ago for running an ad with 13yos in suggestive poses and the tagline "the pleasure of sucking?" Seriously, hitting the raves is the least of the trouble...first pedos then suicide...UG! awful awful awful!!! Fire that agency STAT!

But this ISN'T running. It's a fake. Double page spread for a lollipop? Scam alert.

Since you're covering the advertising industry, you should probably be able to spot if work is real or not.

I like Chupa Chups, they're tasty. And the sticks are plastic so you don't get that gross spit-soggy stick that nearly falls apart.
