Fans to vampire show: don't pull up stakes!

Moonlight When I read that some fans of a certain TV series are actually willing to sacrifice their own blood to get the show back on the air, I had to speak out. It’s not worth it! Sure, it’s a nice idea to team with the Red Cross for a blood drive to attract the network’s attention, but these kinds of stunts never work. Hundreds of fans whittled their ears into sharp points back in ’69, and Star Trek still died. And the ill-conceived “Call 911 to save Rescue 911” campaign rightfully failed. Look, Moonlighting has been gone nearly 20 years. It just wouldn’t be the same. Bruce Willis is bald now. Cybill Shepherd may be too. ... What? Oh. I’m told the show in question is something called Moonlight on CBS. It’s about sexy young vampires (also in my utopian vision; do they have a social network yet?). Was Buffy in Moonlight? She was hot.

Perhaps you should tattoo those sentiments on your chest ~ that way when you arrive at an Emergency room half-dead no one will bother giving you any blood because "it's not worth it".

Hmmm- oh wait, one pint of blood can be used to save the life of three or more people. Funny, where I come - saving a life is a rather "worth" it activity. Guess - you and I live in different worlds.

I think you have lost your mind!!!!!!!!
What kind of a person are you... that you would say that donating blood for a worthy cause like saving someones life is not worth it!!! What a sick person you are!

I would also recommend an eye exam for you!
Or maybe it's just your bad taste!

Giving blood is not worth it!! I do hope that phrase doesn't come back to haunt you one day.....
Whether you agree with why they are donating or not - they will save people's lives - so of course it's "worth it"
I think it's great that people are actually doing something worthwhile while supporting the show!

What is the matter with you? "Not worth it?" Are you crazy?! Donating blood is a worthy cause under ANY circumstances! Many, many lives are saved by blood donations every day. Discouraging people from donating is insane. If I am in an accident and in need of blood, I won't care WHY the person donated it... only that they did.

I think it's wonderful that the fans of Moonlight (I, being one of them) are stepping up to support this great show and save lives in the process. You should be ashamed of yourself!

What is wrong with you!!! First of all if you are going to post a blog like this, you should probably know what you are talking about. The show is not Moonlighting with Bruce Willis you idiot it is a vampire show with Alex O'Loughlin released this year on CBS. Second, the blood drive is not just for the show, it is for the area devestated by the wildfires where supplies have run low. We are just trying to attract attention to an important cause and Moonlight fans are so fanatical they are willing to bleed for their show and fellow man. I think this is a far better idea than the Jericho fans had, polluting land fills and creating waste with peanuts. OUR WAY, THE MOONLIGHT WAY, IS SAVING LIVES!!!

NO BUFFY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MOONLIGHT!!! THIS SHOW IS FOR GROWNUPS.

Wow lotsa hate from people who didn't understand the joke.

In any case I think these fans are bolstered by recent successes against the fiends that are network scheduling executives. Jericho was given a second chance at life when its fans inundated the studio with peanuts (a reference to some dialogue from the finale) after it was canceled.

Wow, I'm impressed you managed to attract the wrath of some fans! They should calm down after giving their blood, they'll be too tired...

I just watched a couple of episodes and thought the show was pretty bad and quite boring, Seriously vampires going out in the daylight? There are some conventions you just can't break ;o) And Buffy's not even in it - definitely not worth it.
