Nature comes out to play in Hummer spot

Here's a new Hummer spot by Modernista!, that agency with the cool Web site (or crappy non-site, depending on your point of view). After watching the ad, I’ve reached this conclusion: There’s no exciting way to film flowers. That time-lapse stuff doesn’t cut it. I blame the flowers—they just won’t take direction. Here’s a totally unrelated clip for Zoo York from davidandgoliath. Note the talking cockroaches. They’ve got Brooklyn accents. One gets smooshed at the end. And there’s an “adult” version with swearing if you register on the Web site. Maybe if they combined the spots, and had the roaches drive the Hummer—or better yet, if the Hummer smooshed the roaches and the bugs launched into a string of profanities. Both brands would benefit. So, about that Web site ...
