Man places ad offering $5,000 for a wife

Haeberle Wow, where to start with Charles Haeberle, who has taken out an ad offering $5,000 to any woman who would agree to marry him. Paid in installments. Yes, after years of searching for love in bars, churches, and on the Internet—the worst places on earth to pick up women, by the way—Charles has resorted to full-on bribery. Which isn’t so bad, really. There are people on Craigslist right now who would spend more to do much worse. But the real kicker is that Haeberle, a 39-year-old man, is looking for a woman “between the ages of 23 and 43.” Really, he can pretty much forget about women in their 20s. But that kind of romantic ambition shows that for someone who barely sounds capable of approaching a woman, Charlie’s got balls.

Wow, no wonder. Look at the guy, he looks way older than 39, more like 50-ish.

With a couch like that, you'd have to pay for dates too!

looks like he fell out of the Ugly Tree, hit every branch on the way down, then landed on the Homely Bush.

Don't hate on Charlie, he's getting publicity out of this. With this economy he's a smart guy, they're gonna be banging down his door.

Just get a prenup brother, because you most certainly will get a gold digger thinking you have loot, oh and add a daily sex clause to your agreement...

After looking at this picture I'm sure many women will think that $5K is too little.

His problem with finding someone might have something to do with that wood burning stove to the left of his couch. Tell Grizzly Adams to invest in central heat and air, and see if that does the trick.

The couch, the wood-burning stove, the lamp, heck, look at the guy. I agree $5K is not for this "package", especially in installments. Should invest those $5K in a small makeover for himself (weight loss, contacts, new clothes, hair).

I disagree with Todd. All he'll attract for $5K are skanks.

you've all proven it once again. ad people are venomous shallow people just looking to knock people down to make them feel better. you're all more pathetic than you say this guy is. get a life. be a bit more positive. say something nice about someone, it won't kill you. this business and its mindset blows.

Haven't you all heard the old adage "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"? How would you feel if someone made those comments about you?

With that face, he may want to up the dollar amount.

I'm sure he's just a lonely, shy guy trying to find some lovin'! Props to him for at least trying, instead of sitting in his apartment making rude comments on blogs about people that aren't necessarily the pinnacle of physical beauty. Sounds like these other commentors are the people who need to get some.
