PTC gives another racy show free publicity
In a development so predictable it borders on the absurd, the Parents Television Council is urging CBS stations to pre-empt Swingtown, the network’s racy Thursday-night drama. Stating the obvious, the PTC complains: “Swingtown is one of the most sexually indulgent programs we’ve seen on broadcast television in a long time.” Well, it is called Swingtown, so what did they expect? The series has so-so ratings, which PTC’s condemnation can only boost, so I’m starting to suspect that the group only bitches about shows it really enjoys.

I wouldn't be surprised if the PTC was actually designed TO promote new shows on various networks.
