Wieden, Old Spice go places they shouldn't

Centaur The Skittles sheep boys will be bleating their approval of this new Old Spice spot from Wieden + Kennedy—advertising’s first recognition in a while of the all-too- often-marginalized human/animal hybrid segment. VFXWorld has a little background on how Digital Domain made the centaur look real. “Of course the centaur needed to look plausible, but an effect like this can get creepy really quickly,” says DD’s Vernon Wilbert. “The suds made it work. It worked better because the suds and the soap go places where they shouldn’t. That made it real ... and it made it funny.” Via Adverganza, whose headline made us laugh also.

I crazy or am I the only one who doesn't think that Old Spice commercial is weird? I think it's just a dick joke. You know, half man, half horse. I thought they were basically saying the dude has a large wang. And you know, moisturizing bodywash doesn't dry out those sensitive parts. haha. heh. erm.

Yeah, but look closely. The horse has no penis. Not even a shadow of a penis.

I love "It's two things," but let's see... Axe has Chocolate Man, Old Spice has Dickless Horse Man. I give yet another round to Axe.
