Dudes ready to abide at Lebowski Fest '08
The latest incarnation of Lebowski Fest kicks off tonight in Louisville, Ky., celebrating all things Big Lebowski. Some of the posters for previous Lewbowski Fests had bowling themes (including one with bowling-ball boobs), which made sense even to those without an encyclopedic knowledge of the 1998 Coen brothers film. This year’s poster, above, by Bill Green Studios, features instructional dance diagrams that are lost on me. Possibly it’s some sort of Dude jig. But then, I only saw the movie once. |

my best guess of the origin of the diagram on the poster would be a scene from the bowling tournament montage in The Big Lebowski. there's one fellow bowler that does said 'Dude jig' that seems to resemble the poster above.

It's actually from one of the first scenes in the movie where Bob Dylan's "The Man in Me" is playing. Could be the montage stephanie was talking about. But it's victory dance done by one of the extras and they do it in slow motion. It's a great movie, gets better every time I watch it.

I don't know if I would call the bowling partner of The Jesus an "extra." His name is Liam in the movie.
