Sears not an expert on video-game systemsJudging by this back-to-school ad (click to enlarge), Sears doesn't fully grasp the concept of "playing hard," a phrase reserved for things more physically taxing than sitting on one's ass playing video games. But there are greater inaccuracies here: The kid is playing Metal Gear Solid 4, a PlayStation 3 game, with an Xbox 360 controller. Sears is clueless about video games? Color me shocked and appalled! Seriously, I'm finding it hard to get too upset about this. And I'm not alone—even the commenter nerds at Kotaku aren't getting that worked up. Maybe they're like me and accept that Sears has enough trouble organizing its stores, let alone keeping gaming systems straight. —Posted by David Kiefaber |

Who comprises the agencies art department? No one caught that? This Ad makes me sick. I would take the agency lead off the brand and consider firing the agency.

You all are being way too hard on this ad. This is a slice of American life. What young punk nowadays doesn't look at the photographer in their bedroom almost to say "What? Every teenager doesn't have a flatscreen in their room?"

i would like to take this time to register the complaint about my vomit pooling beside my desk.
for real, what the fuck? no wonder no one takes them seriously. even their target market is smarter.

1. That is waaaaaaaay too clean to be a college dorm.
2. Controller, check. Umm, but ... where's the actual 360 console?

For being Sears, I'm surprised he wasn't playing Sonic the Hedgehog on a Super Nintendo and his jeans aren't acid-wash Sergio Valentes.

I'd say the 360 is next to the Playstation, but it's too difficult for me to make out.
I'd also have to question the guy in the ad for not catching this either. Did they happen to land the one kid who doesn't play games?
Yeah, this ad is choc full of fail. This family obviously has money by the way the kids room is stacked with some expensive items, so why the hell would they shop at Sears.

I think the 360 is to the right of the PS3
