Axl Rose and Dr Pepper deserve each other
Having written about Dr Pepper's infamous Guns N' Roses promotion before, we should come full circle with the latest about it. As you've surely heard, GNR has filed a lawsuit demanding that Dr Pepper make good on its promise to give everyone in America a free soda now that Axl Rose has finished his masterpiece, 17 years in the making. Dr Pepper's attempts to pay up, via a coupon on its Web site, failed when the site crashed. Fans then flamed the band—and specifically Axl. I think it's just misdirected anger over the dreadlocks, but GNR still wants an apology. At the same time, Axl is being accused of attacking China with this new album, and record execs are blaming the record's poor reception on Axl's disappearing act over the last few weeks. It's a can of soda....it costs less than a dollar. And it's a crappy record...worth less than a dollar. What's all the fuss about?

CD is worth than a buck, thought it's certainly got bombast and self pity to spare. That said, there are a couple damn good songs. Ridiculous it took 17 years to put together, and all the complaints about Axl being a paranoid egomaniac are no doubt true, but "Chinese Democracy" is not a bomb, just a mixed bag.

The album is killer! This I Love, Prostitute, Shacklers, Chinese Democracy and esp. Sorry are all amazing songs!!!! Axl Rose is an amazing artist.

How many bands do this same thing - run out of money then decide to make a cd?
Axl Rose is an over the hill has-been trying to cash in - he's probably broke.

Axl Hose Bag is un-impressive I stopped listening to his music after he ditched his fans time after time with his temper tantrums and wouldn't step up for metalica fans after that I make a point of turning off all his crappy music, Slash is good and I listen to V.R but axl is a scum bag , It's the fans that make you a star so why would you let them down ? Record companies I can see that but not the fans without them your a 17 year project nobody, Hopefully the next project takes twice as long.
