Cheese and alcohol, now even more in love

Cheesecupid

Connoisseurs of oddball Web-site names will be pleased to learn there's now one called cheesecupid.com. Shine Advertising of Madison, Wis., created it on behalf of Wisconsin Cheese to let people know which pairings of cheese and alcoholic drink are matches made in heaven. (The pairing of "cheese" and "cupid" isn't as unlikely as you might imagine: Somewhat disturbingly, a Google search for cheese + cupid yields 1.5 million hits.) This being a Wisconsin operation, the site naturally includes beer as well as wine. So, if you were wondering what sort of cheese goes with a pale ale, say, cheesecupid.com will cue you in. One trembles to think what sort of tie-ins a site with this name will concoct when Valentine's Day rolls around.
