But don't bloggers eat just about anything?

Oscar

Are Oscar Mayer's new microwaveable flatbread sandwiches actually blogworthy? No idea—never had one. But this ad about them being blogworthy—that is blogworthy, obviously, since we're a blog and here we are writing it up. Of course, our attention really shouldn't count for much, since they're practically begging for it right there in the headline. (The first line of body copy reads, "At under 350 calories, Deli Creations Flatbread Sandwiches are worth writing about.") Still, with newspapers falling all over each other to eulogize themselves, maybe sucking up to the blogosphere isn't such a bad idea. Here's a tip: We'll eat anything with bacon on it. That's pretty funny - most food blogs, at least, would never write about something like that.

Bacon's good. And maybe if they sprinkled a little pharmaceutical grade caffeine on it. That would attract bloggers.

I still wonder if there was some viral intent with this headline, or just some smartass copywriter having fun (I've done that before).

Pat the blog world on the back, and the blog world will pat your back too. It's the circle of life.

I was flipping through Redbook last night and came across this ad. I thought blogging about a sandwich is a bit of a stretch, but here we are blogging about their ad so they must of did something right. I also felt a bit honored that they chose to focus their ads to bloggers, pretty cool in that respect.
