'All Together Now' spot continues to inspire
A few months back, we wrote about an advertising student who was inspired by Budweiser's "All Together Now" spot and decided to take her own low-budget stab at it. Now, one of her friends from London has made yet another homage to the ad, and it's quite an impressive bit of stop-motion goodness. The video was created as a side project by Isaac Bell, a photographer, editor and designer for DDB London. It's definitely one to watch several times, though you'll still be hard-pressed to catch all the clever bits of background animation. I'm sure his agency overlords have given him some hearty encouragement, probably along the lines of: "Nice job. Now quit dicking around with the stapler and get back to work." |

A great beer ad, without the massive budget
Inspired by (or in her words, "obsessed with") the new Budweiser spot "All Together Now" below, advertising student Diana Mella created the version above. While the original is a commendably choreographed and ingenious spot, there's something even more charming about Diana's version. Maybe it's because she's better at evoking the true spirit of the Beatles song, covered here by the Hours. Maybe it's because she shows that quirky cleverness can compete with even the biggest budgets. Or maybe it's just because she does a better job selling beer. —Posted by David Griner |

'Whassup?' guys offer Obama endorsementCharles Stone and the rest of the gang from the old "Whassup?" Budweiser commercials are back for a special hilarious election-themed spoof of the original ad. The last eight years haven't been kind to them, but things are looking up. |
