What else can we upload photos to?Call it the Elf Yourself genre. Ever since millions of
people put their pictures on those dancing elves and sent the results to family
and friends, the marketing playbook has included a page for upload-your-photo
campaigns. Garnier Fructis is the latest practitioner with a site that has
users "go back in time" by plastering their faces into digital
cutouts featuring hairdos from decades past. Moxie Interactive created the
Garnier Body Booster application, which has options for downloading the results
or sharing them on social networks. It's easy to pooh-pooh
these efforts, but it's definitely something that people enjoy, although
for how long you have to wonder. What's encouraging is the uploading technology
is improving, making it easier to use and reject photos less often. —Posted by Brian Morrissey |
