Finally, a Wii made just for women: the Shii

Probably NSFW. Ladies, pick up a Shii today. Unless you're completely sickened and offended by it. This clip is from a comedy show in Belgium, which explains a few things. The censors over there probably asked them to add that uncalled-for scene at the end. Via YesButNoButYes.

For a low $49.99, you too can go for a walk!

Do you like walking but hate the idea of taking a break from consumer electronics? Well, Nintendo has just the solution for you. For just $49.99, the new video game Personal Trainer: Walking helps you track your progress through a revolutionary device that measures the number of steps you've taken. "It's pretty much a pedometer. Period," gushes one 2-star review on Amazon. To be fair, the game has some neat features, like illustrating how far you've walked on a global map. And it is nice to see anything that encourages gamers to get moving. But I'm not quite sure if I buy this video's pitch that the game "makes a walk more than a mode of transportation or routine physical activity—it makes walking productive and fun." Call me a Luddite, but I think I could have just as much of a ribald good time with a $5 pedometer and a sheet of graph paper.

Real-life Little Mac coulda been a contender

Few old-school Nintendo games are as memorable as Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, which kept an entire generation of young males too busy pushing buttons to actually learn self-defense of any kind. Now, as Nintendo prepares to bring back Punch-Out (minus Iron Mike), the marketing team gives us this "Where are they now?" retrospective on the game's pugilistic protagonist, Little Mac. The two-minute video isn't quite as funny as it could be, but fans of the original game will enjoy nostalgic flashbacks like Doc the trainer leading Little Mac on his bicycle (which, by the way, is nowhere near as intense without the original music). UPDATE: I should note that this isn't the first time someone's brought Punch-Out into the real world. YouTube is flooded with user-generated clips that likely inspired the official video. You can check out my personal favorites here and here.
