Oh iBoy, don't fret...I <3 Twitter. Just calling for sanity, equilibrium and perspective. You mistake my text for anger, when in actual fact it's a bit of interruption mixed with humor and a healthy dose of reality.

Most people got that.

Hi Joseph,

I don't know you, but I have some advice: If you're seriously suggesting that all your talk of Ponzi schemes and video of your dissatisfaction was all just a bit of a game and fun and irony, then I suggest you give up the writing/acting career, because you suck at it, bro.

The true irony for me is that you chose to back up your rant on the hype and overblown chat about Twitter on one day with a gushing endorsement of it the next day. What made it even more eyebrow-raisingly "ironic" was the fact that your Twitter rant/opinion (which I found quite amusing, btw) was curtailed so you could hedge your bets and pitch your agency.

Second Life is/was a joke (at least from a marketing perspective), and I called bullshit on it loud, often, in public and with clients and partners. I think everyone knows where you stood on it, though it would be great to get an update to hear how much value it is delivering to you and your clients today.

And right or wrong, I've backed Twitter as having massive business potential and have been experimenting with it both personally and with clients. So far, so good.

On Twitter, you're hedging your bets and and covering your ass instead of just saying that you might have got it wrong ... And that's why I called bullshit.

I've been saying this all week long: Joe, your video rant was brilliant! I can't believe people didn't understand the humor of you ranting about Twitter, while flashing your Twitter name up on the screen. It helped to bring balance to what you were saying.

There are definitely valid points you make about the hype, but there was no doubt in my mind that you saw the value in Twitter simply by virtue of you promoting your presence there. And I, for one, always welcome subtlety of humor mixed with poignant statements. Twitter is not "all that." It's a popular tool that highlights the idea that people want community and need it now more than ever because of crisis. But whether Twitter itself is the ongoing future key to this connection is debatable.

Well-played, sir!
